I worried that someone would call child protection services on us until two 6-year-olds took the dive. I then stressed about how Jacob would react because Charlotte and I saw adults come out crying (sobbing really). But David and Jacob marched up there and jumped without any hesitation. Unbelievable considering my fingers were numb with gloves on. David said it was quite an adrenalin rush. Jacob's first words afterwards were, "I will never do this again." However, a scant 30 minutes later, he was planning for next year. Charlotte and Laurel vow to join Jacob and Dad. It was cold enough for me just manning the camera!
GUPPIES NO MORE!!!!!
Wow--that is crazy! I don't understand why anyone would want to do that, but they certainly were brave--even had smiles on their faces after it was over with! Crazy!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! That is insane!!! I love Jacob's reaction. I felt the same way with the marathon. At first I was like, "never again!" but it didn't take long before I was planning my next one! What a memorable way to ring in the new year. Those two have some serious bragging rights for sure!!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome!! This will be a cool memory and story for years to come that David and Jacob will share together. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! I'm cold just looking at the pictures! Crazy--but what an awesome memory. So do tell: are you headed in next year, too?
ReplyDeleteOkay, first of all, cleaning up vomit IS true love. And second, I can not believe there are people crazy enough to do that--and you're married to one! :0) But then again I'm dressed in a sweater and it is 71 degrees today. I know. I'm a total wimp.
ReplyDeleteYou guys are awesome!! You took some great pictures, Ella. :)
