Paralyzed
I'm sleeping more than I need to, dawdling in the shower, and wasting time on silly, non-essential items. Do you ever do that when something big is looming in the near future? My family reunion is at the end of this month. I'm hosting. I've attended five other fabulous reunions prior to this one and I feel the pressure. So I'm simply putting off essential things that need to be done in hopes that the whole thing will go away :). Not really, but I am an escapist, and a guilty one at that . . . I put off doing what needs to be done and delay doing fun things with my kids as well because I feel guilty about not doing the essential things. Today I will buckle down and get those last-minute details tied up and spend some quality time with my kids in the process. It definitely helps that the sun has finally emerged in Minnesota.

I do the same things with my overwhelming thesis!
