Tuesdays

AAAUUUUUGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!

I hate Tuesdays (I know Mary - we don't say "hate!").  Especially Tuesdays after a long holiday.  The alarm goes off, I open my eyes ready to embrace the day and then I remember it's Tuesday.  Piano, Dance, Basketball, and Enrichment all on the same evening - back to back. I want to crawl back into bed and hide.  But hiding won't make it better - I REALLY need to exercise today in hopes some endorphins will help.   They didn't.  As the morning slipped away, my stress level rose and my voice rose right along with it.    Don't the kids realize we don't have time tonight to get done what we failed to do this morning???????  On days like these I realize I'm not really cut out for the modern world.  I notice that the women 10 years younger than me seem to run a zillion places and enjoy it.  Not me.  I like a quiet, simple, smooth life.  Thank goodness tomorrow is Wednesday!  We don't have anything on Wednesdays.  It helps me recover each week from Tuesday.  It's not like I didn't pack Tuesday on purpose just so we could have a Wednesday - the day without anything in it.  Every Wednesday I tell myself that next Tuesday I'll remember that Wednesday is coming . . . but I never do.

  1. I hear ya, sista! :) Today I yelled at my kids all the way to school "DO YOU LIKE IT WHEN I YELL AT YOU ALL MORNING?" "I DON'T LIKE IT! IF YOU DON'T WANT ME TO YELL AT YOU THEN DO WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO- IT SHOULD BE HABIT TO GET OUT OF BED, GET DRESSED, EAT! WHY DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO EAT?!" Embarrassing I know. You may have noticed I don't make it to RS on weekdays. And I'm telling myself all those moms running around all the time with packed schedules for their toddlers are going to regret it someday. We don't have to do everything- It's not a requirement. Enjoy your Wednesday. :) Oh, and Isaac had a great time yesterday. :)
