Art Class

Laurel and Charlotte took a Spring-themed art class this month, culminating in an art show at the teacher's home.  During the course of three lessons, the girls created a paper mache bird, drew a continuous line sketch (see Charlotte's boots below), sketched and colored a bird of choice, and copied a Jean Baptiste Camille Corot painting (see Laurel's "Ville d'Avray" below).  For the Corot painting, Laurel chose chalk as her medium and Charlotte chose water color.  The girls loved every minute and we loved attending their art show.  My talented friend only charged us $6 per lesson.  And, to keep our inner artist alive, she also recently started a free art blog which can be found here: www.nutchele.blogspot.com.
