Game 2

Wow - we won our game last night too so we play again tonight. Still two games away from the placement games, but we're on a roll. We were a bit nervous going into last night's game as that team had beat us once before. Unfortunately for them, but good for us, they had a bye the first round and were a little cold. They did rally after a couple of innings, but we were too far ahead for them to recover.

Jacob once more had an awesome game, bringing in many runners and coming in himself. Once again, he caught the ball, getting out one of their runners. I have to say, however, the kids who really saved us last night were Hyrum Smith and Jake Muhich (center field and second base) who managed to limit Hamel's great hits to two bases.

Before the tournament began, Jacob expressed concern about playing some of the teams which had defeated them during the regular season. I told him that some teams peak early and some teams peak during the tournament. You want to be the team that peaks during tournament. If the last two games are any indication (and I believe they are), Corcoran 1 is peaking during the tournament. What a fun ride!
