Summer Fun

Now that the reunion is over, we have time for those lazy-summer-dayz activites. This week has been relaxing and fun.

Pile of Dirt
Who knew dirt could be so fun? The Corcoran baseball fields have a huge pile of dirt in the parking lot. I've promised the kids we could go climb on it for quite a while. We finally went and had a ball. Dirty, happy kids!
Eagles Nest
We finally biked over the see our very own Maple Grove Eagles at the Weaver Lake Nature area. It appears they have all flown the coop, but the ride over and back was fun. We stopped by the trail and enjoyed chocolate chip cookies Dad had made the day before with the girls (Jacob & I were at Webelo day camp).

Hamel Rodeo
Need to attend a rodeo once a year just to keep my redneck status :). The kids enjoyed trying to pluck a ribbon off a calf and win $20 bucks. No ribbons were snagged this year, but we'll try again in 2010. At least every participant received an official rodeo ribbon. And do you like our Rodeo Princess/Fairy/Soccer player who wouldn't look at her mother when she had the camera out????? Jacob tells me he wants to do rodeo now. I keep telling him we don't have a farm, nor a ranch, nor a horse. Pretty tough to be in a rodeo when you can't practice. So now he wants to move to the country. Wish we could, bud, wish we could!

  1. Dirt is always FUN!

...I do however tend to like sand more because it tends to come with a beach.

  3. Thanks for the link Ella! Your blog is so cute! I love this post, especially the dirt pictures. Why pay tons of money to go to Disneyland when they love dirt just as much? (Well at least Teya does ; ) She would've been in heaven on your little dirt adventure!
