Good one day, Bad the Next

Just spoke with my Mom. After a really good day yesterday, Dad had a very bad night again last night. He became disoriented and combative to the point that they sedated him. He is just waking up now (1:00 p.m. Mountain Time). He doesn't know where he is again and is irritated because he wants to go home. Maybe his current state is because of the sedation. Mom sounded discouraged. I'm feeling a little discouraged as well. While on the phone Mom asked Dad if he wanted to talk to me. He said no, he wants to go home.

    Oh no. I was SURE after the last update that we wouldn't hear this again.

    ugh. Hang in there. It seems like ups and downs are part of the territory. I'm hoping he'll be getting better toward evening and tomorrow will be a better day.
